Elections Commission has revealed that over four hundred thousand ballot papers were printed for the Local Council Elections scheduled for Saturday.
Elections Commission revealed this information on Thursday as per legislation that mandate the commission to release details about ballot papers. The commission said that the ballot papers were printed by M7 Printers and Publishers this year.
Speaking with PSM News, member of the Elections Commission Ahmed Akram said that all preparations have been made for the polls that open Saturday morning. Akram said that by the end of Thursday, all ballot boxes, ballot papers and other necessary equipment, would have reached all polling stations. Akram also added that only four complaints were filed with the commission regarding the local council election. He attributed the figures to the increased awareness among citizens on issues related to elections.
