Japanese Ambassador pays courtesy call on Vice President

Japanese Ambassador to Maldives Kazumi Endo has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Abdulla Jihad.

During the meeting held at the President’s Office, the Vice President expressed his sincere gratitude for the generous contributions and support by the government of Japan for the socio-economic development of Maldives.

Noting that 50 years have passed since bilateral relations were first established between the two countries, Vice President Jihad expressed his confidence in enhancing the relations to new heights during the Ambassador’s tenure.

The Ambassador expressed the honour and privilege to serve as the Ambassador of Japan to Maldives, and took confidence in the government of Maldives for its determination to enhance friendly relations between the two countries.

The Vice President and Ambassador also discussed areas of further strengthening the bilateral relationships.
