Minister of Finance and Treasury Ahmed Munawar has assured that work is underway to secure funds from Asian Development Bank (ADB), for developmental projects planned for the next three years.
The Finance Minister made the remarks speaking to media prior to his departure to attend the 50th annual general meeting of ADB to be held at Yokohama, Japan from May 4 to May 7, 2017. Minister Munawar said that information regarding ongoing and planned development projects in Maldives will be shared with the bank during the annual general meeting. He also revealed plans of a bid to secure funds through ADB, for a USD 100 million waste management project and a development project for the greater Male' region.
