Dhiraagu reports MVR 244 million as profit

Telecommunication provider, Dhiraagu posts a profit of MVR 244 million in the first quarter of 2017.

The profit posted in the first quarter of 2017 increased by 37% compared to the same period last year, according to quarterly report released by Dhiraagu.

The figures shows that Dhiraagu made MVR 644 million in revenue in the first quarter while mobile market and data customers of the company increased significantly during the period.

Some achievements made by the company during the first quarter includes introduction of 4G data to 70% of the population and introduction of fiber broadband network in additional 17 islands
