The Maldivian Red Crescent has held the 9th annual general meeting.
Speaking after the annual general meeting held at Champa Central Hotel, the President of Maldivian Red Crescent Ali Naashid said discussions were held to amend the general regulations of the organisation. Speaking to PSM News, the Secretary General of Maldivian Red Crescent Aishath Noora said numerous services were provided to the citizens last year. She noted that victims of fire outbreaks in Male' City and monsoon rains were given assistance from Maldivian Red Crescent.
The humanitarian organisation has a team of 2000 volunteers across the country, according to Maldivian Red Crescent. Maldivian Red Crescent was established in 2009.
