Allied Insurance has taken part in the ‘Malé City Cleaning Challenge’.
Staff from the company united on Friday to clean Chaandhanee Magu. ‘Malé City Cleaning Challenge’ is an initiative by Enrage in association with Public Service Media (PSM) and Waste Management Corporation Limited (WAMCO). Different participants, every week, are assigned an area to clean. Each team concludes their task after challenging another office or group to participate in the effort, next week.
This week, staff of Allied Insurance Maldives took up the challenged and engaged in cleaning the busy shopping area, Chaandhanee Road. They concluded the task, challenging ‘Mad Runners’ to participate in the event next week.
“We always take part in social activities like this. And we shall continue to do so in the future. We challenge Mad Runners. We hope they too would accept the challenge and participate in the cleaning effort,” said Ibrahim Firushaan, General Manager of Allied Insurance.
The team noted that such efforts would see success only if littering in public spaces comes to a stop.
