World Travel Awards has announced that Sun Aqua Vilu Reef will host the World Travel Awards Indian Ocean Gala 2017.
Also known as the 'Tourism Oscars', the award function has been scheduled for July 8, 2017. Several Maldivian tourist businesses have been nominated in various categories. These include, the most popular dive, honeymoon and cruise destination. The national airline Maldivian, and sea plane operator Trans Maldivan Airways (TMA) have also been nominated in several categories in aviation.
Voting for the World Travel Awards Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony is open until May 22, 2017. Each year, World Travel Awards covers the globe with a series of regional gala ceremonies in the Indian Ocean, Africa, Middle East, Europe, Caribbean, North America, Latin America, Asia and Australia.
