President of CSC holds a meeting with the Chairman of FPSC

The President of Civil Service Commission (CSC), Dr. Ali Shameem has held a meeting with Chairman of Federal Public Service Commission of Pakistan (FPSC), Naveed Akram Cheema.

The meeting was held during an official visit by the Maldivian CSC delegation to Pakistan. The meeting between the President of Civil Service Commission and the Chairman of Federal Public Service Commission of Pakistan was held at the FPSC Office in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The discussions during the meeting between Dr. Ali Shameem and Naveed Akram focused on further strengthening civil service cooperation between the two countries. They also discussed ways in which both commissions could share information and technical expertise, according to CSC.

In this regard, FPSC Chairman noted that they would share survey and annual reports of their commission with the Maldivian counterpart. During the meeting, Dr. Shameem also highlighted on issues which were discussed and agreed between the heads of the SAARC Civil Service Commission’s during the latest meetings held in Bhutan and Pakistan last year.

Furthermore, as the annual meeting between heads of the SAARC Civil Service Commissions is scheduled to be held in Maldives later this year, Dr. Shameen went on to invite the FPSC chairman to the Maldives. In response, the FPSC Chairman noted the important role played by Maldives during the previous meeting held between the heads of SAARC Civil Service Commissions and Public Service Commissions. He further pledged support for Maldives' bid to include SAARC in the Asian Civil Service Conference. 

During the visit by the CSC delegation, they also visited and held meetings with senior officials of Faculty of Social Science and Technology and Faculty of Social Science and Humanities of National University of Science and Technology of Pakistan in Islamabad.

The Maldivian delegation accompanying CSC President during the visit includes the Ambassador of Maldives to Pakistan, Ahmed Saleem, CSC Director International Fathimath Lahfa and officials from the Pakistan Commission.
