Housing Ministry Completes the Land Use Plan of Feydhoo Island

Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has said that the land use plan of the reclaimed land in Feydhoo Island of Addu City has been completed.

50 hectares of land was reclaimed in Feydhoo Island last year and the revetment work around the reclaimed land was completed in January 2017, according to the Ministry.

Abdulla Ziyad, Senior Policy Executive of Housing Ministry, said the ministry will announce the details of the project to be conducted in the reclaimed land in the near future. The projects in the area will be developed to the satisfaction of the locals he added.

The Ministry has said that the necessary funds for the development of roads in the reclaimed area has been made available through the state budget and that the project will begin this year.
