Foreign Minister of Denmark Anders Samuelsen Calls on FM Dr. Asim

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Asim has met with the Foreign Minister of Denmark, Anders Samuelsen, during his ongoing visit to Geneva to attend the High Level Segment of the 34th Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

During the meeting, Minister Samuelsen briefed Minister Asim on Denmark’s candidature to the Human Rights Council for the year 2019-2021. Minister Asim also mentioned Maldives’ candidature to the Human Rights Council for the year 2018-2020.

Minister Samuelsen inquired about climate change in the Maldives and Minister Asim highlighted on the Climate Change Policy Framework. This brief meeting ended with Minister Asim inviting Minister Samuelsen for a visit to the Maldives.
