Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim has returned after concluding his visit to Geneva, Switzerland.
During his visit to Geneva, Minister Asim attended and addressed the High Level Segment of the 34th session of the Human Rights Council that started on 27 February 2017.
At the side-line of the High Level Segment Minister Asim met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Anders Samuelsen, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Minister for Asia and the Pacific of UK Alok Sharma, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Australia Julie Bishop and United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein. Minister Asim also addressed at the Side Event “Friends of SIDS”, organised by Maldives and Australia on the 28th of February 2017.
The 34th session of the Human Rights Council will continue until 24 March 2017.
