Maldives Ambassador to UAE calls on the Commissioner General

Maldives Ambassador-designate to United Arab Emirates Dr. Hussain Niyaz has paid a courtesy call on the Commissioner General of Customs, Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed.

During the meeting held at Customs Building, the Ambassador-designate and the Commissioner General discussed on prospective areas for strengthening cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, especially on topics related to Customs enforcement and trade facilitation.

The most number of goods, which is 16% of the total imports, were imported from United Arab Emirates in 2016, according to Customs statistics.
