Maldives Police Services (MPS) on Monday launched a crime prevention campaign to raise awareness within communities. The campaign was officially launched by Commissioner of Police Ahmed Areef at a ceremony held at the Islamic Centre.
The campaign is organised by MPS in collaboration with telecom provider Dhiraagu, Allied Insurance Company, State Trading Organsiation (STO), MAPS College, and local NGO Tiny Hearts of Maldives.
“Various public awareness programmes will be conducted under the campaign, which is aimed at reducing crime and maintaining peace and harmony in the society,” MPS said.
Police urge public engagement and cooperation in order to make the campaign a success.
