President thanks Govt.’s lead counsels in GMR arbitration case

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has met with the lead counsels Michael Bloch QC and Kenneth Pereira of the legal team who represented the Government of Maldives and Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) in the arbitration case against GMR-MAHB Consortium.

At the meeting held at the President’s Office Tuesday morning, President Yameen expressed his appreciation to the two experts on behalf of the Government for their efforts in the arbitration process.

The President was accompanied at the meeting by Attorney General Mohamed Anil, State Minister at the President’s Office, Mohamed Naseer, Deputy Attorney General Ahmed Usham, Managing Director of MACL, Adil Moosa, and MACL board member, Ibrahim Mahfooz.
