First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim on Friday met with persons with disabilities and their families in Holhudhoo Island of Noonu Atoll.
Her meeting was aimed at identifying the challenges faced by disabled persons in the island and ways to improve services provided to them. At the meeting, she pledged to work towards improving the quality of life for people with disabilities.
While in Holhudhoo, the First Lady also met with women, members of the island council, and representatives from NGOs.
During her ongoing tour of Noonu Atoll, she also visited Manadhoo and Velidhoo and met with residents and government officials.
