Maldives participates in Fitur 2017

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and 19 other tourism sectors are participating in the International Tourism Trade Fair – FITUR 2017, which began in Spain on Wednesday.

The four-day fair, organised by IFEMA Feria De Madrid, is one of the three tourism fairs the Maldives will participate this month, according to MMPRC.

FITUR is a global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading trade fair for inbound and outbound Ibero American markets, the organiser said on its website.

In 2015-confirming the trend towards recovery in the industry- 9,605 exhibiting companies from 164 countries/ regions, 124,659 trade participants and 107,213 people from the general public, met during FITUR, it said.
