Fisheries Minister leaves for India

Dr. Mohamed Shainee, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture, and Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, Foreign Secretary, on Monday left for India on an official visit.

During the visit Minister Shainee and the Foreign Secretary will participate in the Raisina Dialogue 2017 on “The New Normal-Multilateralism with Multi-Polarity” organised by Observer Research Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of External Affairs, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release. Minister Shainee will deliver an address at the Raisina Dialogue, which will be held in New Delhi from January 17 – 19, 2017.

During the visit, Foreign Secretary Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed is also scheduled to meet his Indian counterpart, Dr. S. Jaishankar and engage with the local media.

More than 250 delegates from 65 countries are expected to participate in India's flagship geo-political conference that will deliberate on strategic issues including new challenges and cyber security.
