Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) and State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) on Sunday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in preventing and combating corruption.
STELCO would seek ACC’s assistance in conducting awareness workshops for staff members as well as the public under the MoU, Managing Director of STELCO, Abdul Shukoor Solih said.
Also speaking at the MoU signing ceremony, Hassan Luthfee, President of ACC, said that fighting corruption should not be seen as the sole responsibility of the Commission but a collective duty of everyone. He also praised STELCO’s efforts to combat corruption.
The state-owned electricity utility also revealed plans to use a giant LED screen erected within its compound to display corruption awareness messages.
