Dunya Maumoon, State Minister of Ministry of Health, has said President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom's policies are vital for the development and prosperity of the country.
“President Yameen has given a great deal of importance to protect the country's Islamic faith and sovereignty. And his administration fully recognises the people's aspirations for socio-economic development, “she said in in an exclusive interview with PSM.
Dunya, in her first interview after being appointed State Minister of Ministry of Health, noted her involvement in health-related programmes while working at the United Nations office in Male' and assured her willingness to work with Health Minister Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim to further speed up the Government’s efforts to improve the healthcare sector.
Dunya Maumoon previously served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the current Government. She resigned as Foreign Minister on July 5, 2016.
