Local NGOs announce campaign to help Muslims affected by conflict

A group of local NGOs has announced plans to launch a campaign to help Muslims suffering due to conflicts around the world.

Nine organisations have so far joined the effort, the organisers said, adding that donations from the first round of the campaign will go towards helping Syrians affected by the country's ongoing civil war.

Adam Naif, a spokesperson for International Help Aid, told PSM News that people made homeless by the Syrian conflict are in desperate need of food and clothing, and they have already begun collecting donations through various organisations and individuals.

Donations collected through the campaign will be delivered to the Syrians through a Turkish humanitarian NGO, IHH, according to the organisers.

The group is also planning similar campaigns to help Palestinians, Yemenis and Rohingya Muslims.
