President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom appoints Aishath Shaan Shakir as Ambassador of the Maldives to Bangladesh.
President Yameen presented the letter of appointment to the new Ambassador at a ceremony held at the President's Office Thursday afternoon.
In accordance with Article 115 of the Constitution, Aishath Shan Shakir's nomination as Ambassador of Maldives to Bangladesh was approved by Parliament on October 18, 2016.
