FM meets Sri Lankan counterpart in Colombo

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Asim has met with his Sri Lankan counterpart Mangala Samaraweera in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

During the meeting held on Friday, the minister discussed on further strengthening the long-standing close historical relations between the two countries and enhancing cooperation in areas of socio-economic development.

Also on Friday, Dr. Asim met with Sri Lankan Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake and discussed collaboration in areas of trade, commerce and investment.

Dr. Asim is making his first official to Sri Lanka since assumption of office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in July last year.
