President leaves for Malaysia to attend UMNO General Assembly

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom on Wednesday left for Malaysia to attend the Annual General Assembly of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO).

During his trip, the President will meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak.

The President is accompanied by two Deputy Leaders of the ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM), Member of Parliament Abdul Raheem Abdulla, and Minister of Tourism Moosa Zameer. The Secretary General of PPM and Member of Parliament Abdulla Khaleel also travelled to Malaysia with the President.
