Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) is set to conduct a survey on the spending habits of Maldivians travelling abroad.
MMA revealed that it will ask travelers about the details of the countries they visit, the duration, and the expenditure they made.
MMA further said that the purpose of the survey is to establish a record of financial interactions between Maldivians and foreigners.
The survey will go ahead at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA) from 24th to 30th of this month.
The Maldives Central Bank conducted a similar survey at INIA last year.
