Maldives Investment Forum III kicks off in Delhi

The third edition of the Maldives Investment Forum kicked off Tuesday in the Indian Capital.

The forum, held at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi, was officially inaugurated by Vice President Abdulla Jihad.

The function was also attended by Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed, Maldivian Ambassador to India Ahmed Mohamed and a large number of corporate sector stakeholders from the Maldives.

Speaking at the function, Vice President Abdulla Jihad highlighted on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s economic development ambitions, and cited some of the achievements of the Yameen administration.

Speaking at the function, Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed expressed that the forum would act as a platform to attract more foreign investments into the country.

The Maldivian Ambassador Ahmed Mohamed also spoke at the function, and highlighted on the close ties between India and Maldives.
