Minister of Economic Development, Mohamed Saeed met with the Indian Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping, Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on Wednesday.
During the meeting held at India’s Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Shipping, the ministers discussed ways to improve transportation services, and enhance cooperation in the area.
On Tuesday, Minister Saeed gave an interview to India-based CNBC TV18 in which he provided information on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom’s economic agenda, and the government’s efforts to further diversify the economy.
During his visit to India, the minister met Indian government officials and senior members of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and discussed ways to further strengthen economic cooperation, trade and investment between India and the Maldives.
He also met with his Indian counterpart and exchanged views on enhancing trade relations between the two countries.
