Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has departed for New York to participate in the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During his visit, the Vice President is scheduled to deliver statements at high-level meetings and hold bilateral and multilateral discussions with international counterparts.
He will also attend the opening of the General Debate and other receptions and events held on the sidelines of the General Assembly.
The Vice President is scheduled to return to Male' on Saturday, 26 September.
