The Ministry of Education held a special function on Sunday to mark the conclusion of Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham’s nationwide tour of schools.
A commemorative plaque was presented to the minister at the function held at the Education Ministry.
The tour took her to all schools across the country, and it was undertaken as part of the efforts to deliver the government’s pledge “No child shall be left out”.
During her visits to the schools, the minister met with school managements, teachers, school boards, and PTA members and inquired about difficulties faced by them. She also shared information about the government’s education policy and efforts to strengthen the education system.
Speaking to PSM News after the function, the minister described the nationwide tour as landmark undertaking, adding that she had learned a lot from the tour that would help take the education sector to new heights.
