Parliament delegation to attend Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference

A delegation from the Parliament has departed for South Africa to participate in the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC).

The conference, hosted by the Parliament of South Africa and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) South Africa Branch, will be held in Cape Town from 13 to 19 September.

The annual conference brings together parliamentarians and parliamentary officials from across the Commonwealth to discuss parliamentary democracy, governance, international law and other issues of shared interest.

The Maldivian delegation comprises Huraa Parliamentarian Dr Anara Naeem, Dhiggaru Parliamentarian and CPA Asia Regional Representative Ahmed Nazim, Central Hithadhoo Parliamentarian Ahmed Azaan Marzooq and North Galolhu Parliamentarian Mohamed Ibrahim.

Secretary General of the Parliament Secretariat Fathimath Niusha and Senior Foreign Relations Officer Aishath Eeman are also part of the delegation.
