MIB wins Cambridge IFA award for advancing women’s careers

Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has received an international award from Cambridge IFA in recognition of its efforts to advance women’s careers and expand leadership opportunities.

Cambridge IFA presented MIB with the prestigious WOMANi Leadership Award for Career Advancement 2026, recognising the bank’s efforts to support women’s professional growth and create greater opportunities for them to take on leadership roles.

The award recognises MIB’s efforts to advance women professionally and create an environment where they can take leading roles and succeed across different areas of the organisation.

In addition, five female leaders from MIB feature in the WOMANi Report 2026, which highlights prominent women leaders in Islamic finance. MIB said the report recognised them for their valuable contributions to the financial services sector, leadership and achievements.

MIB attributed the recognition to the hard work of its talented female employees, who continue to play an important role in the bank’s development. The bank said it remains committed to developing talent, providing leadership opportunities without gender discrimination and empowering women.
