90% of Gov't. pledge to improve ambulance service delivered

Health Minister Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim said 90% of the government's pledge to improve ambulance service in the atolls has been delivered.

The government procured ambulances required to improve ambulance service in the atolls through State Trading Organisation (STO).

Speaking at a function held in Laamu Atoll, the Health Minister highlighted the government’s health sector development plan, and noted major projects that are currently underway across the country.

The Health Ministry said the MVR5.6 million project is aimed at establishing ambulance service in all inhabited islands across the country.

The Ministry recently repaired over 28 ambulances used across the country.
