WAMCO to build waste collection centres in Hulhumalé

Waste Management Corporation Limited (WAMCO) announces plans to build waste collection centres in Hulhumalé.

Managing Director of WAMCO – Ibrahim Fuad made the announcement after signing an agreement with Housing Development Corporation (HDC) to develop a waste yard in Hulhumalé.

He said, in addition to the waste yard, separate waste collection centres will be developed across Hulhumalé under the project.

Speaking after signing the agreement, Managing Director of HDC – Mohamed Simon highlighted the challenges faced in waste collection and management in Hulhumalé.

He said the agreement will pave the way to develop a sustainable mechanism to collect and manage waste in Hulhumalé.
