VFS Global will open a temporary United Kingdom visa clinic in Male’ to facilitate UK visa applications for Maldivians travelling to the UK.
The visa clinic will operate from 10 to 12 August at Maagiri Hotel. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the service will allow Maldivians applying for UK visas to complete biometric enrolment and document submission in Male’, avoiding the need to travel overseas to complete the process. It is aimed mainly at students heading to the UK for higher education, as well as other travellers applying for UK visas.
VFS Global encourages applicants to submit their visa application online through the official UK visa portal and book an appointment to attend the visa application centre on their assigned date to hand over documents and provide biometric information.
The temporary visa clinic is organised annually to make the UK visa application process more convenient for Maldivians.
