BML provides support for Centurion’s IPO

Bank of Maldives Plc. (BML) says it is extending support to the first Initial Public Offering (IPO) of a privately owned company in the Maldives.

Under an agreement signed today, BML will act as the collecting banker during the IPO of Centurion Plc.

Subscriptions for Centurion shares opened at 9am this morning at the Maldives Stock Exchange.

BML said shares of Centurion are available for purchase through an online portal hosted by the bank.

Corporate Banking Director at BML Kuldip Paliwal said that “the bank is pleased to support Centurion in the endeavour and that the listing of company on the stock exchange will benefit them in raising capital for expansion.”

He further said that the “stock exchange plays a vital role in the growth of the economy, and is a good source of funding for companies.”

Centurion is a leading shipping and logistics service provider in the Maldives.
