Dhiraagu joins Parley’s “For the Ocean” campaign

Telecom provider Dhiraagu has introduced reusable bags under its efforts to reduce plastic use and protect the oceans.

The new reusable bag, launched under its Corporate Social Responsibility, was officially unveiled by Dhiraagu brand ambassador Abdul Gafoor, the first person to sail around the Maldives in a catamaran.

It was unveiled through a peculiar stunt, where the media was invited to the Dhiraagu main office to find it littered with plastic bags.

With the launch, Dhiraagu became a partner of Parley’s “For the Oceans” campaign, carried out to raise awareness of the beauty and fragility of the oceans and collaborate on projects that can end destruction of the oceans.

Marketing, Communications and Public Relations Manager at Dhiraagu – Mohamed Mirshan Hassan said the new bag introduced by the company is reusable, and has a very long lifespan.
