NDMA concludes Training of Trainers programme

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has concluded a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on the Community Based Resilience Building (CBRB) Framework.

A total of 20 participants from NDMA, the Maldives Red Crescent, the Maldives Police Service, and the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Fire and Rescue Service took part in the training. Certificates were presented to participants by the Deputy President of Maldives Red Crescent Rasheedha Ali.

The programme aims to strengthen community-level disaster preparedness and resilience across the Maldives.

The CBRB framework incorporates climate change, gender equality, disability inclusion, and social cohesion in disaster risk management. Trained facilitators will help implement CBRB programmes nationwide to improve community safety and preparedness.
