A special training for executive staff of the Civil Service has commenced Monday.
The training is conducted by the Civil Service Training Institute (CSTI) in collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Governance.
The training targets officials in the post of Director General and above, CSTI said.
Speaking at the function held to inaugurate the programme, President of CSC Dr. Ali Shameem highlighted on annual study tours provided by the Chinese Government and said such programmes highly assist in professional development of civil service staff.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Wang Fukang noted that China and the Maldives are working together in a number of different fields.
He further noted that China accords priority to provide assistance in the field of human resource development.
Modules covered during the ongoing training programme includes Public Service Excellence in Internet Age, crisis management and management of change.
Over 50 participants are attending the training which will be held till October 20.
