Maldives Centre for Islamic Finance (MCIF) on Sunday signed an agreement with AlHuda Centre of Islamic Banking & Economics (CIBE) to further enhance its services in the country.
The agreement was signed by Managing Director of MCIF Ibrahim Didi and Chief Executive Officer of AlHuda CIBE Muhammad Zubair Mughal.
Managing Director of MCIF Ibrahim Didi said “the agreement paves way for human resource development and training in the field of Islamic finance.”
“Such agreements will be signed with other international organisations to further develop the Islamic finance sector in the country,” he further said.
Speaking after signing the agreement, CEO of AlHuda CIBE Muhammad Zubair Mughal said the development of the Islamic finance sector in the country would help further economic growth.
MCIF was established on March 24 this year, as a 100% Government owned company with the mandate of linking Islamic Finance industry in the Maldives to international markets.
