19 classrooms in Madhrasathul Ifthithaah go digital

Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham on Saturday officially inaugurated 19 smart classrooms developed in Madhrasathul Ifthithaah.

She is currently touring Lhaviyani Atoll, meeting with school management teams and sharing information about the Government’s education policies.

Speaking at the function held to inaugurate the smart classrooms in Naifaru Island, the Education Minister highlighted on the role played by Madhrasathul Ifthithaah in the history of education in the country, and stressed that a large number of top achievers were educated at the historical institution.

The equipment needed for the classrooms were donated by FH Foundation.

President of the organisation, Naifaru MP Ahmed Shiyam said the equipment was donated following an initiative taken by the school, and under efforts to assist education sector development work.

He noted that teachers have also been trained for the new classrooms.

According to the school, the 19 classrooms were developed under the first phase of a digitisation project, and that it cost over MVR 1.3 million.
