Maldivian adds new seaplane to fleet

National carrier Maldivian on Wednesday added a new aircraft to its seaplane fleet.

With the new acquisition, the airline has increased its seaplane fleet to 9.  

The 15-seat Canadian made DHC-6 Twin Otter is the third seaplane acquired by Maldivian this year, and the airline plans to increase its seaplane fleet to 10 before the end of the year.

The airline currently provides seaplane service to 5 resorts.
