Final preparations are underway to host the 21st Asia Media Summit (AMS) in the Maldives, scheduled to take place from 11 to 14 May, Public Service Media (PSM), has announced.
The summit will be held at Villa Nautica Resort, bringing together media professionals, policymakers and industry experts from across the region.
Organised annually by the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD), the Asia Media Summit (AMS) serves as a key platform for broadcasters, media practitioners, academics and policymakers to engage in discussions on the future of the media industry.
This year’s summit will be held under the theme “Maldives 2.0: From Tradition to Tech”, focusing on the transformation of media and communication in the digital era.
The event is regarded as one of the most significant gatherings in the media sector, where participants deliberate on emerging trends, challenges and policy directions shaping the industry.
The previous, 20th edition of the summit was held in Cambodia. The Asia Media Summit, a flagship event of AIBD, has been organised annually since its inception in 2004.
