No arrests made in Western Union heist: Police

No arrests have been made in connection with Sunday night’s robbery at the Western Union branch in Male’ City, Police said on Monday.

According to police, a group of masked men broke into the Western Union outlet on Majeedhee Magu at around 12:05am after tying up security staff there.

The exact amount of money stolen in the heist remained unclear, according to police.

Police said the masked robbers left a trail of cash as they fled the scene.

The authorities are investigating the case.
