Ahmed Shiyam appointed Fisheries, Agriculture Minister

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Ahmed Shiyam as Minister of Fisheries, Agriculture and Ocean Resources.

The official ceremony to present the letter of appointment was held this morning at the President’s Office.

The oath of office was administered by Supreme Court Justice Abdulla Hameed, after which the minister signed the declaration of oath.

The appointment follows the President’s decision to appoint 12 members to the Cabinet, with letters of appointment presented during a ceremony held yesterday.
