Speaker of Parliament Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed on Monday met with the visiting Chairman of Majlis A’Shura of Oman Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali.
The meeting was held at the Parliament House.
During his visit to the Parliament, Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al Mawali also met with Deputy Speaker of Parliament Moosa Manik.
He also called on Islamic Affairs Minister Dr. Ahmed Ziyad on Monday.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two countries in areas of mutual benefit.
Dr. Ziyad also extended an official invitation to the Islamic Minister of Oman to visit the Maldives at a time of his convenience.
The visiting Chairman of the Omani Shura Council also met with the Chancellor of Islamic University of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed, and other senior officials of the university.
