Maldives Association for Travel Agents and Tour Operators – MATATO on Saturday revealed plans to introduce a special award for the guesthouse sector.
MATATO President Abdulla Giyaas said “the award show will be an edition of the MATATO Maldives Travel Awards. The award will be given to support the development of guesthouses operating in the country, and it will be organised in association with Maldives Getaways.”
MATATO already hosts an annual Travel Awards Show targeting the tourism industry. This year’s Maldives Travel Awards will be held in November.
