The second group of Maldivian pilgrims return home after completing the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
Maldives Hajj Corporation said 316 pilgrims arrived this afternoon.
The first group of pilgrims, comprising 252 who made travel arrangements through the state-owned Maldives Hajj Corporation, returned on Saturday.
According to the Islamic Ministry, Maldivian pilgrims are set to arrive from September 17 to 24.
1,000 pilgrims who booked their Hajj tours through private operators are also returning home. 200 pilgrims travelling under Al-Kharmain Group arrived this afternoon.
200 pilgrims who travelled to Saudi Arabia through Acro Group are scheduled to arrive on September 20.
The Saudi Arabian Government granted a quota of 2,000 to the Maldives this year, with half going to the state-owned Hajj Corporation, and the rest given to 5 private operators.
