3 health facilities connected to e-portal, says Aasandha

National health insurance provider Aasandha Pvt. Ltd. said on Saturday that health facilities in three atolls have been connected to its e-portal under the ongoing project to link all empanelled healthcare providers. The company said the project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Aasandha now uses the network to streamline health services covered by the national health insurance plan, it said. Managing Director at the company Maumoon Abdu Samad told PSM News that it is crucial for all government-run hospitals and healthcare facilities to be connected via the network to ensure better healthcare services for the people.

“Data collection is one of the major challenges faced by the company, and many of their employees are currently engaged in data collection,” he said. He added that “connecting all healthcare institutions via the portal will ease difficulties faced by the company in providing its services to the people.” Healthcare facilities in Alifu Dhaalu, Shaviyani and Faafu atolls are now connected via the online network.
