Health Ministry procures vehicles for ambulance service

Health Ministry has announced the delivery of 6 of the 28 vehicles procured for providing ambulance service in the atolls.

The MVR5.6 million project, contracted to State Trading Organisation, STO, is aimed at establishing ambulance service in all inhabited islands across the country.

Speaking to PSM, Deputy Director General of Health Ministry, Ahmed Gasim said 12 more ambulances had already been shipped, and all 28 vehicles were expected to be delivered before the end of the year.

The Ministry recently repaired over 28 vehicles used for providing ambulance service across the country.
