The Maldives will host the World Cake Artistry Awards 2026 for the first time.
The international award ceremony will be held on 12 February. Privately organised by experienced local cake artist Mujuthaba Abdulla, it brings together cake designers from 38 countries across the world.
Awards will be presented in 60 categories and judged by an international panel. The awards attracted 834 nominations, including 14 Maldivian entries, with 240 finalists selected.
According to Mujuthaba, the awards highlight diverse global skills, will boost the Maldives’ profile in the international culinary scene, promote cultural exchange, and support the country’s tourism industry.
