Industrial village expected to become operational by November

Housing Minister Dr Mohamed Muizzu has said that streets، and electricity، water supply and sewerage networks in Male’ industrial village will be completed by the end of October.

He said "work on the project is progressing at a fast pace and the industrial village is expected to become operational by November this year."

The Housing Ministry plans to relocate garages and other industrial workshops in Male’ to the industrial village, which is being developed on 6.9 hectares of reclaimed land. Once complete, the industrial village will have a waste management facility and parking areas for large and heavy vehicles.

The project to develop the industrial village is contracted to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company.
